Fiona and Paul have a go at weaving and spinning whilst visting From The Source producers in Laos.

From The Source was set up in 2007 when, whilst living and working in Laos, Paul and Fiona discovered the rich heritage of traditional crafts, particularly textile production. We now import a carefully selected range of design-led silk scarves, Lao textiles, clothing, bags and gifts, and work directly with fair trade producers in Laos, and more recently, Afghanistan.

We are inspired by original, handcrafted textile products that are a joy to use, wear and admire, and by the producers and artisans that make them. We believe in good quality products, that are made to last, and made fairly. We hope to make people think about the origins of things they buy, and provide a range of fashion products and gifts that are unusual, beautiful and ethical. We work directly with organisations in Laos and Afghanistan, providing skilled employment for women and marginalized communities, and are developing long term relationships that can help contribute to social and economic development that is fair and sustainable.
